Our infant room is for children 6 weeks – 12 months. The infant room is one of exploration and growth with all the comforts of a peaceful nursery. The routines of this class are dictated by the needs of the children. Their schedule is our schedule! A daily report of your child’s activities will be sent home at the end of each school day. Lesson plans are written individually for each child, month-by-month, and posted in the classroom. When your children are walking, off the bottle and having only 1 nap a day, they will transition to our Wobbler room.
The Wobbler classroom is a busy place! Our Wobbler children are 12-24 months old. The children begin to have a more structured day with a good balance of Teacher-directed and Child-directed time. The children will transition from high chairs to small tables and chairs, from cribs to cots just the right size for our little ones! The Wobblers will – at times – combine with the 2 year old class to stretch their imaginations and development. In the Wobbler class, the children begin going outside to our age appropriate playgrounds twice daily. Sometime between 22 and 24 months, your child will transition to the Toddler class.
