We visit members of the congregation and their families to bring them comfort and encouragement through the Word of God and fellowship. Prayer Ministry: Prayer is the foundation of our church. Every Tuesday our prayer group meets in the sanctuary to pray. Throughout the year the church holds prayer vigils and days of prayer and fasting. There are also dedicated Pray-ers who wear "praying hands" pins and are available to pray with people on Sundays. Welcome Ministry: Greeters and Ushers welcome everyone with a smile and warm embrace. They give words of encouragement and a sense of comfort and hospitality. Greeters and Ushers arrive 20 minutes prior to the service and typically serve once a month. Visitor Follow-Up Calls: We welcome visitors to our church by calling them after their first visit and spending a few minutes getting to know them. We show them ways they can connect so they can begin to feel like part of our church family as well as relaying any needs they may have to appropriate ministries. New Member Fellowship Ministry: To ensure assimilation of new members into the life of the church, the Fellowship Ministry takes the time and personal interest to welcome and enfold new members into our Good Shepherd family with a warm, caring, loving and spiritual enthusiasm.
